Charles-Emile Reynaud was born on the 8th of December 1844 and Died on the 9th of January 1918. He was a french inventor and he was responsible for the first ever animated cartons to be project. He did this with his invention called the Parxinoscope, made in 1877.
The Parxionoscope was the successor to the Zeotrope in the fact of it could actually project the film onto another object EG a wall or box. In 1889 Reynaud developed the Theatre Optique where he was able to show much a much longer roll of images for making the illusion of movement.
His invention was soon outdated by the photographic film projector made by the Lumiere brothers.
